DRIP IRRIGATION

Targeted watering for beds, gardens, and landscaping, uses up to 60% less water.

Drip Irrigation

Drip irrigation delivers water right to the root zone through low-volume emitters and tubing. It's the most efficient way to water flower beds, gardens, tree rings, and anything else that isn't turf grass. We design and install custom drip zones that tie into your existing sprinkler system and controller, including smart controllers that manage drip and spray zones independently. One of the best upgrades we do is converting existing spray zones to drip, which is a game-changer for narrow strips along driveways, foundation plantings, and beds where the old spray heads were hitting the house or fence instead of the plants.

WHAT WE SEE IN THE FIELD

If any of these sound familiar, it's time to call.

Sign 01

Overspray Hitting The House, Fence, Or Driveway

"Spray heads watering hardscape instead of plants"
Here's what we do

Spray heads waste water every time they hit a fence, wall, or driveway. Drip irrigation delivers water directly to plant roots through tubing and emitters, no overspray, no evaporation, and no wasted water on surfaces that don't need it.

Sign 02

Flower Beds Getting Drowned By Lawn Spray

"Plants in beds are wilting from too much water"
Here's what we do

Lawn grass and landscape plants need totally different amounts of water, but a single spray zone treats them the same way. We convert the bed to drip so plants get exactly what they need, often half as much water as they were getting from overspray.

Sign 03

You've Added New Beds, Trees, Or A Garden

"New landscape areas that aren't on the existing sprinkler system"
Here's what we do

Adding a new bed or garden means running irrigation to a new area. Drip is the cheapest, most efficient way to do it, no trenching, no new sprinkler heads, just tubing and emitters connected to a new zone on your existing controller.

Sign 04

You Want To Cut Summer Water Bills

"Your outdoor water use is the biggest line item on your water bill"
Here's what we do

Drip irrigation uses 40–60% less water than spray heads for bed and landscape areas. If you have significant landscaping being watered by sprays, converting to drip often drops summer water use by 20–30% overall, real savings, not marketing.

Sign 05

Narrow Strips You Can't Efficiently Spray

"Thin strips along driveways, walkways, or foundation plantings"
Here's what we do

Spray heads can't cover narrow strips efficiently, water always ends up on the hardscape. Drip tubing follows the exact line of the bed and puts water only where it belongs, with zero waste.

HOW WE DO IT

Step 01

Assess Landscape Zones

We evaluate your beds, gardens, and planting areas to determine which zones benefit from drip, considering plant types, sun exposure, and soil conditions in your North Dallas yard.

Step 02

Design Emitter Layout

We create a custom drip layout specifying emitter spacing, flow rates, and tubing runs matched to each plant's water needs, no one-size-fits-all templates.

Step 03

Install with Pressure Regulator

We install the drip zone with a dedicated pressure regulator and filter to protect emitters from North Texas water pressure (which is often too high for drip) and debris.

Step 04

Test Flow Rates

We run every emitter and check flow rates to confirm even distribution across the zone, no dry spots, no flooding, and proper integration with your existing controller.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

For beds, gardens, and landscaping, yes. Drip uses 40–60% less water than spray heads because water goes directly to roots with minimal evaporation. For open lawn areas, spray heads are still the right choice.

Yes. We add drip zones to existing sprinkler systems all the time. It requires a dedicated zone with a pressure regulator and filter, but it connects to your existing controller and valve wiring.

Quality drip tubing lasts 8–15 years in North Texas conditions. The sun is the biggest enemy, exposed tubing degrades faster. We recommend mulching over drip lines to extend their life and reduce evaporation.

Yes, drip run times should be longer in summer and shorter (or off) in winter. Smart controllers handle this automatically. If you have a standard timer, we can set up a seasonal schedule during installation.

Yes, it's one of the most common upgrades we do. We cap or remove the existing spray heads, add a pressure regulator and filter at the valve, and run drip tubing throughout the bed. It's especially effective for narrow strips along driveways, foundation plantings where overspray hits the house, and flower beds where spray heads were overwatering. The conversion ties into your existing controller and valve wiring, so no new wiring is needed.

Drip tubing handles North Texas winters well because it drains naturally and holds very little water. During our winterization service, we blow out drip zones along with your spray zones as a precaution. The pressure regulators and filters should be drained or insulated if they're above ground. In spring, we check emitters for clogs and test flow rates during startup. Drip systems occasionally get blocked by mineral buildup or root intrusion over winter.

WE KNOW THIS SOIL, THIS WATER, THIS WEATHER

Drip pays off faster here because of our long hot summers and steeply tiered water rates. We design every install around North Texas conditions: UV-resistant tubing, the right pressure regulators, and filters that stand up to our mineral content.
