Full compressed-air blowout to protect your system from North Texas freezes.

One hard freeze in North Texas is all it takes to crack a backflow preventer or burst a lateral line. We do a full compressed-air blowout of every zone, drain and insulate the backflow, and set your controller to off-season mode. One visit protects your whole system for the winter. Book by late October if you can. Our winterization calendar fills up fast once the first cold front hits and we'd rather get you on the schedule before it's a rush.
If any of these sound familiar, it's time to call.
"Overnight lows dropping below 32°F in the 10-day forecast"
Once temperatures hit freezing, any water sitting in your lateral lines can expand and crack pipes. The backflow preventer, the most exposed and most expensive component, usually goes first. Winterize before the first freeze, not after.
"You're still running the system into fall"
In North Texas, mid-October through mid-November is the sweet spot for winterization. Schedule early, our calendar fills up fast once the first cold front hits and everyone tries to book at once.
"The backflow device is exposed with no cover or wrap"
The backflow is the single most freeze-vulnerable part of your entire system and the most expensive to replace. Even a mild freeze can crack the brass body if water is sitting inside. We drain it completely and wrap it with an insulated cover rated for North Texas winter.
"You're still remembering what a cracked backflow replacement cost you last February"
If you were one of the thousands of North Texas homeowners hit by the last hard freeze, you already know what a repair costs. A proper winterization is cheap insurance against another February surprise.
"You've been relying on just shutting the controller off"
Turning off the controller isn't winterization, water is still sitting in the lines, and that's what cracks under freeze conditions. Proper winterization means compressed-air blowout of every zone, backflow drain, and insulation wrap. Anything less is hoping for a mild winter.
No hidden fees. No surprises. Here's exactly what's covered.
Compressed-air blowout of every zone
Backflow preventer drain and insulation
Controller set to rain/off mode
Full system inspection with written notes
Recommendations for any spring repairs needed
We close the irrigation shut-off valve and isolate the system from your home's water supply to prevent any new water from entering the lines.
Using a commercial air compressor, we push compressed air through each zone individually until all standing water is expelled from the lateral lines and heads.
We open the test cocks and drain the backflow preventer completely, then wrap it with an insulated cover rated for North Texas winter temperatures.
We set your controller to rain mode or off, preserving your programming while preventing any accidental watering cycles during winter.
"Excellent services. They are very knowledgeable and courteous. All recommended services were done and the corrections are spot on. Found a new company for own sprinkler maintenance."

Schedule your winterization between late October and mid-November. Don't wait for the first freeze, by then, every irrigation company in North Dallas is booked solid. Our calendar usually fills by early November.
The most common damage is a cracked backflow preventer and burst lateral lines. We see dozens of these calls every February, and a replacement always costs significantly more than a proper winterization would have. It's the best money you can spend on your system going into winter.
20–40 minutes depending on the number of zones. We blow out each zone individually with compressed air to ensure all standing water is removed from the lines.
You need an air compressor that delivers at least 80 PSI at sufficient volume, a standard shop compressor usually isn't enough. Too little pressure leaves water in the lines. Too much can damage pipes. We recommend having it done professionally.
We recommend booking by early to mid-October. Our winterization calendar fills up fast once the first cold front hits, usually by early November, we're fully booked. The actual service is done in late October through mid-November, but securing your spot early guarantees you won't get left out.
Call us as soon as possible, don't try to run the system. We'll inspect for cracked backflow preventers, burst lateral lines, and damaged valves before you pressurize anything. Running a freeze-damaged system can turn a small crack into a major flood. The sooner we assess it, the cheaper the repair is likely to be.
Winterization isn't optional in North Texas. The 2021 freeze cracked backflows and burst lines across thousands of homes, and every winter brings new damage from systems that weren't properly drained. A proper winterization is the cheapest insurance you can buy on your system.
